eNAC

The eNAC Solution, exception (handling) Network Access Control, amends one of the most critical platform flaws: the integrated management of exceptions and Unknown Devices (UDs).

The UDs represent an high risk factor: they do not belong to the company (but to consultants, suppliers, customers,...): although they connect to the company's own network, they are not managed by the company.

Thus, some dangerous consequences:

• un-efficient perimeter's protection systems (e.g. firewalls);
• external systems detection fail;
• information, network, internal system unauthorized access;
• backdoor and Trojan risks;
• worm and virus dispersion risks;
• illegal material diffusion risks (e.g. mp3s, files, softwares);
• Law violation risks (eg. Privacy regulations, D.Lgs. 196/03);
• company policies violation risks;
• company network inappropriate use risks (not for work purposes).

The solution is represented by the chance to detect, control, and manage the UDs within complex and external NAC realizations.
